Somerset County Chicken BBQ
Last night the Somerset County Republicans held one of their biggest events of the year. The Chicken BBQ attracted dozens from around the county and showed they have a vibrant, active group. Several local legislators attended as well. The discussion was lively and the chicken delicious.
We brought the Mobile Office and several volunteers came along for the ride. Chairman Kathy Watson was kind enough to let me say a few words to the crowd. It was a pleasure to be near the place I grew up, see old friends, and make new ones.
I’ll be traveling to several more events like this throughout the summer. See you on the campaign trail!
Somerset County GOP Tonight!
Today, I’ll be at the Somerset GOP meeting in Skowhegan. They are hosting a Barbeque Chicken dinner at Steeves Strawberry Hill Sugar Shack, 163 Rowe Rd., Skowhegan, and have invited me to speak. The event starts at 5:30 pm and the dinner begins at 6:30 pm. I hope you can make it!

Augusta GOP Meeting Recap
Chuck Mahaleris, the Augusta Town GOP Chairman, has recapped my visit last week. They were a spirited group. We had a great discussion about getting Maine’s economy back on track.
Poliquin, who has created several businesses over the past two decades employing hundreds, brought a candor that is uncommon in politics when he touched upon the problems facing Maine and he was direct with what he sees are the solutions to the problems….full coverage here.
I appreciate Chuck for giving me the opportunity.
I have received several additional invitations from County and Town GOP organizations to speak and talk about My Plan to Help Maine Families. We’ll be promoting those events as they come up right here on my blog.
Hat Tip to The Maine View
The Maine View has posted a thoughtful analysis of my website and policy positions. I particularly appreciate the acknowledgment that “Poliquin is not going to be left behind on the internet superhighway.”
Connecting with people through tools like this website, Twitter, Facebook, and even just .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), is an important component of this campaign. I’ve made it a big priority.
As always, if you ever have a comment, question, or great idea, please don’t hesitate to contact me or call 207-232-4387.
