Brunswick – Today, Bruce Poliquin, candidate for Maine Governor, received the endorsement of John Quirk, president and CEO of VIP Parts, Tires and Service.  Headquartered in Lewiston, VIP is the largest auto parts and service chain in New England with more than 50 stores in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.  In a statement, Quirk expressed strong support for Poliquin’s business management skills and professional background.

“Bruce Poliquin will bring to the Blaine House a unique set of private sector skills that none of the other candidates have,” said Quirk. “His vision for Maine is one where our state government encourages job growth and business development.  He has a detailed plan to address the basics of why we can’t compete for good jobs.  And most importantly, more than any other candidate in the race, Bruce has direct experience managing the complex financial issues that are causing many of our economic problems.”

“Bruce sweats the small stuff.  We’ve haven’t had a Governor like that in a long time.  In my opinion, Bruce is the only candidate who understands the direction our state must take if we are going to bring jobs back to Maine.”
