Brunswick – Today, Bruce Poliquin, candidate for Maine Governor, announced the kickoff of a statewide tour to meet directly with voters and hear their concerns about the future of our state.  Poliquin will use the town hall-style meetings to ask Mainers how they would like to see their state government better managed and become more responsive to the people.

“Maine not only needs a Governor with the right qualifications and skills to properly manage our deep economic challenges, but also someone who will be accountable,” said Poliquin. “I trust the people of Maine and that’s why I’m spending the remaining days of the primary going directly to them to hear what they expect of their next Governor.”

For more than a year Poliquin has made voter outreach a cornerstone of his campaign.  To date, his campaign has traveled more than 55,000 miles to every corner of Maine meeting with people and listening to their concerns about the state’s economic and fiscal challenges.  Poliquin has attended dozens of events, meetings, caucuses, forums, and fairs to showcase his dedication to bringing competent management to Augusta.

“Maine doesn’t just need new management, the people deserve better management,” Poliquin added. “We certainly don’t need another career politician.  We need a competent manager with successful private sector experience who has the background and proven management skills to get the job done.”
