Brunswick – Today, Bruce Poliquin, candidate for Maine Governor, received the endorsement of Stan LaPointe, Owner of The Pointe Afta, a restaurant and pub located in Winslow.  As the owner of a small business for 24 years, LaPointe supported Poliquin’s call for Maine’s next Governor to have extensive experience in the private sector.

“It is critical that Maine’s next Governor understand what we go through in the private sector and how difficult it is to succeed in Maine’s business climate,” LaPointe said in a statement. “We deal with the ups and downs of the economy.  We have to think about our budgets long-term and plan accordingly.  Maine’s small businesses need to know that we have an advocate for us in the Blaine House.  Bruce is a business manager with a concrete plan on how to bring better management to our state government.  As Governor, Bruce will support policies that create opportunities for economic growth and job creation.  He is the only one in the race with the background and experience to address Maine’s deep financial problems.”

LaPointe is the latest in a growing list of business leaders to endorse Bruce, which includes:
