Brunswick – Today, Bruce Poliquin, candidate for Maine Governor, announced the launch of his first broadcast television advertising campaign.  The ad is set in one of Poliquin’s businesses, a housing construction project near Phippsburg.  It focuses on the need for more accountability in state government and highlights Poliquin’s experience managing businesses in Maine.

“During tough times, businesses like mine don’t get a bailout,” Poliquin says in the ad.  “If I fail, the consequences to me and my employees are painful and immediate.  But when politicians fail, their only answer is more spending.”

“There’s not enough accountability in government today,” Poliquin states. “As Governor, I’ll bring management experience to cut state spending, reduce taxes, and restore accountability.”

The commercial reinforces Poliquin’s continued effort to reach out to Maine voters and discuss the need to bring competent management to Augusta.  They will run on both broadcast and cable stations.

“The TV ads are an extension of our effort to get our message out about the need for better management and more accountability in our state government,” said Poliquin in response to the launch of the advertisements. “The voters want someone from the private sector, who knows how tough it is to start and run a business, and has the financial background and experience to solve our deep economic challenges.”

There’s not enough accountability in government today.

As Governor, I’ll bring management experience to cut state spending, reduce taxes, and restore accountability.

Let’s take back Maine.
