Brunswick – Today, Bruce Poliquin, candidate for Maine Governor, received the endorsement of Mike Boulet, President of Mainely Trusses, a leader in the wooden truss industry in Maine.  Boulet carries on the family business founded by his father almost 20 years ago. In 2007, Boulet received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Maine Small Business Person of the Year Award.  In a statement, Boulet strongly backed Poliquin as the person best qualified to lead Maine and repair its failing economy.

“Bruce Poliquin is the kind of skilled manager who can identify what works and what doesn’t,” said Boulet. “He has spent his professional life successfully building businesses and safely managing investments.  He has worked in the financial sector, run companies, managed budgets, and successfully navigated good and bad economies.  Bruce’s background has best prepared him to handle the very difficult economic challenges Maine faces.”

“Too often government is not financially responsible - just the opposite of how I need to run my business on a daily basis in order to succeed and survive.  It is what we have been lacking for quite some time in our leadership and something that is very much needed.  Bruce is the best candidates to bring that kind of leadership to Augusta,” Boulet added.

Boulet is the latest in a growing list of business leaders to endorse Bruce, which includes:

Peter Anastos, Maine Course Hospitality Group
Frank Crooker, Harry C. Crooker & Sons, Inc.
Stan Bennett, Oakhurst Dairy
Dana Edwards, Edward’s Family Shop n Save
Jeff Holden, Portland Shellfish
Peter Maher, Sevee & Maher
John Quirk, VIP Parts, Tires and Service
Chris Pierce, The Dingley Press
Vincent P. Veroneau, J.B. Brown & Sons
Mid-coast Business Council for Bruce
